Attorney Balaban received his B.S. in Management and A.S. in Accountancy from Bentley College in May of 1984. Additionally while in college he was a member of the Kappa Phi Alpha Honor Fraternity. Attorney Balaban received his J.D. Degree from the University Of Bridgeport School Of Law, now Quinnipiac College School of Law, in May of 1991.

Upon graduation from Law School Mr. Balaban initially worked for the State of Connecticut Division of Public Defender Services prior to commencing the private practice of law in June of 1992.

His practice is concentrated in the areas of civil litigation, personal injury, criminal defense, real estate and commercial transactions. His trial experience includes significant criminal, personal injury, family and civil litigation.

He is a member of the Middlesex County, Connecticut Bar and Connecticut Trial Lawyers Associations and is admitted to practice before the Connecticut Bar as well as the United States District Court and United States Supreme Court.

He is active in his community having served in the following capacities:
  • Colchester Board of Education - Member, 1995-1999.
  • Colchester Board of Finance - Member, 1985-1996.
  • Colchester Baseball League, Coach, 1980-1984, 1990-1992, 2007-present
